I am writing to you to introduce you to the Gifted and Talented (G&T) initiative and to inform you of the processes we are currently putting into place for our G&T students at Nibras International School. KHDA initiatives aim to stretch and challenge G&T students in every classroom and in every school with opportunities to further their particular gifts and talents outside school at a regional and national level. As a school we aim to provide many opportunities for our G&T students and exciting projects are being planned to encourage giftedness inside and outside the classroom to ensure our students achieve their full potential.
Internally we are currently completing the identification criteria in all subject areas. Teachers are in the process of identifying G&T students within their respective subject areas and once the cohort of students have been finalized, relevant parents will be contacted with the appropriate details.
If you feel that your child is achieving a higher level than expected for their age range and/or your child is taking part in an activity outside of school at a very good/exceptional level, then please complete the form attached and any evidence you may have and return it to your child’s classroom teacher. This is to ensure that we are aware of all of our students’ achievements, particularly in areas that are not offered in a traditional school curriculum. If you need any more information, please do not hesitate to ask me.
Yours Sincerely, NIS Administration
