Stay & Play – Admissions FAQ
1. What is a Stay & Play session?
Our Stay & Play is a relaxed, interactive experience designed for children entering Kindergarten (KG1 and KG2). Children join our Kindergarten educators for sensory play and classroom exploration. Parents can see firsthand how our American curriculum supports curiosity, confidence, and early school readiness.
2. Who can attend Stay & Play?
Stay & Play is open to prospective families considering KG1 or KG2 at NIS. To align with KHDA age-placement guidelines:
● KG1 applicants must be 4 years old by August 31, 2026.
● KG2 applicants must be 5 years old by August 31, 2026.
4. Will parents be able to speak with teachers?
Yes. Our KG teachers and Kindergarten Leadership team will be available throughout the session to answer questions about curriculum, routines, wellbeing, and the transition into KG1 or KG2.
5. Can we tour the school during the visit?
Following the Stay & Play session, our Admissions Team will guide families on a short campus tour, highlighting KG learning spaces and specialist facilities.
6. How long is each session?
Sessions run for approximately 45–60 minutes, allowing time for both assessment and informal exploration.
7. How do I book a place?
Register through our online form or contact Admissions via phone, WhatsApp, or email. You’ll receive a confirmation with all the session details.

Assessment and interview
Prospective students take part in either in-school or online assessments, guided by our expert teachers, SENCO, or the Senior Leadership Team when needed with the aim to identify strengths and abilities.
Offer and acceptance
Successful applicants receive an official offer and secure their place by confirming acceptance within 7 days and paying the registration fee of AED 2300.
