What Grade Is My Child In?

NIS registers students in age-appropriate year groups in accordance with KHDA guidelines. KG1 students registering for the 2024-2025 academic year must be 4 years old by August 31,2024.

Step 1: Inquiry and Application

Fill in the inquiry form with your complete details through this link here.

Once we receive your details, we will then contact you and ask you to submit copies of the following documents to support your application (s).

• Current school year report
• MAP or CAT results (Grade 2 to Grade 12)

Step 2: Assessment

If you are applying for KG to Grade 1, we are now conducting in-school assessments. Alternatively, we can administer online assessments where we schedule an online meeting with your child. This will be conducted by the admissions team along with one of our teachers, SENCO or the Senior Leadership team when necessary.

Please note that we have an admissions fee of AED 500.

Step 3: Securing Your Child’s Place

Once you receive an offer, you have 7 days to complete registration and to pay the registration fee to secure your place. The registration fee is 2300AED and is deductible from the first term’s school fees.

Your Child’s First Day at School

The school fees should be paid for the term before the first day of school. Placement of our students in their new class is carried out by our senior team, and we carefully consider each child’s strengths and abilities to match them with the best teacher for them. Before term begins you will be issued with a parent handbook and invited to familiarization events with your child. We look forward to welcoming you on your first day!

• Completed NIS Application Form
• Valid Student Passport and Residence Visa 
• Valid Parents Passport and Residence Visa
• Passport Photographs
• Students and Parents Emirates ID
• End of year report translated*
• School Transfer Certificate attested** and translated*
• Previous School Report Cards (if applying for High School – from Grade 9 up to recent year, or Year 10 up to a recent year)
• Behavioral Form (Middle to High School students – filled and submitted by the current school)
• Vaccination Certificate 
• Completed Medical Form
• Bus Registration Form (if school bus service is required)
