Principal

Dr. Jay B. Teston joined Nibras International School as the Principal in 2020 upon the retirement of his predecessor.

Dr. Jay will apply over 25 years of experience in the USA, UK and China, he has acquired valuable experience as an International School Director, Principal and as a member of several accrediting teams in the Asia-Pacific region to bring Nibras to new heights.

Dr. Jay has exceptional proficiency in being an educator, accreditor, researcher and leader. He is passionate about using academic rigor through effective teaching practices that yield both amazing and exemplary results.

Dr. Jay holds a Doctor of Education degree from The University of Sarasota in Florida, National Principal Certification from Fordham University in New York and a Diploma in International School Governance and Sustainability from the European Council of International Schools in London, UK.

Althea Edmondson

Althea grew up in South Africa before relocating to Muscat, Oman with her family and then moving to Dubai in 2002. Althea studied Human Resources Management which has given her invaluable administrative and recruitment experience. Althea then went on to complete her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through the University of Sunderland followed by a Master’s in Education from Murdoch University.

Althea is an experienced educator with more than 13 years in international education. Althea is passionate about a student-centered learning environment where students use hands-on, real life learning experiences to develop their communication and thinking skills along with learning through inquiry, problem solving and developing a student’s independent learning skills as key focus areas.

Althea has held various leadership roles within primary education and as a passionate educator, has led various authorization and evaluation processes within the UAE. She has been a part of the development of teachers and middle leaders alike and has implemented various systems to ensure the smooth running of a primary school. Althea has worked collaboratively with the school community; namely students, parents and teachers alike to foster and develop a high quality education that meets the needs of all students.

Althea enjoys walking, going to the gym, travelling and spending time with her family.

Ms. Willacey has joined Nibras International School’s Senior Leadership Team as the new Head of Secondary at Nibras International School for the 2020 -2021 Academic Year .

Ms. Willacey Debra has more than 10 years of teaching experience in Elementary , Middle and High School settings. Additionally, she has more than 6 years of experience in Educational Leadership at the school, state and country levels in the United States and Dubai.

Ms. Willacey is an exemplary educator and a fine senior leader. She is passionate, innovative and highly motivated, who feels strongly about supporting student growth and progress. She will work collaboratively with the leadership team at NIS to help enhance the secondary offering at the school, ensuring that our students continue to gain acceptance to some of the best universities and colleges in the world.

Ms. Willacey has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership.

Engy Olama joined Nibras International School in 2019, as the Assistant Head of Elementary.

Engy is a certified Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Trainer and Presenter. She has worked in the education field for 12 years, during which she has had various teaching and leadership roles in American and IB Schools.

Engy believes that a student’s voice is an integral part of learning, and schools should encourage students to look beyond the walls of the classroom and view the world around them as a place of learning and discovery.

Engy is passionate about teaching and thinks it is the best way to contribute to society and influence the future. Engy works collaboratively with teachers at NIS to further develop the Elementary program with the aim of providing a holistic inquiry-based education.

Engy is a certified Happiness Coach from Berkeley Well-Being Institute, California. She is passionate about promoting happiness in schools through enhanced teaching and learning.

Engy has a Master’s in Education from American International College, Massachusetts, USA and a Certificate in International Baccalaureate Teaching and Learning, from Bethel University, Minnesota, USA.

Sahar Moosa joined our team at Nibras International School as Head of Data and Assessment in the academic year 2020-2021.

Sahar is an educator with 6 years of experience working as a teacher, coach and leader for schools in the UAE. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Management and Information Systems from the London School of Economics, in the UK.

She focuses on the overall assessment practices at NIS, embracing a persistent growth mindset by implementing purposeful data-driven positive changes, that support key leaders and teachers. Her goal at NIS is to improve data literacy amongst all stakeholders and community members of the school and to increase the use of assessment-driven data to enhance differentiated instruction, which will lead to improved student progress.

Sahar is a talented, innovative and driven individual. She is extremely passionate about Ed-Tech and keeps herself consistently updated with the latest developments in the field.

Amena Saleem

Amena Saleem joined Nibras International School as the School Counselor, in 2020.

Amena brings over 14 years of experience from Kuwait and Dubai, where she worked in Educational Psychology and Organizational Psychology.

Amena's work experience first began in a Business environment, where she was employed for a leading UK-based firm specializing in Psychometric Assessments for Business professionals. During her tenure, Amena has overseen and conducted over 3000+ psychometric assessments, provided training, counseling and consultations to enterprises, across the Middle East and North African region. She strongly believes that Counseling provided by trained professionals can make a profound impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities.

She holds a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Asia E University, as well as a Bachelor’s of Sciences Degree in Psychology from the University of Madras. She also holds a Mini MBA from Missouri State University, and a Business Management Diploma, specializing in Human Resources, from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada.

Tracey joined Nibras International School in April 2020 as the Finance and Administration Manager.

Originally from a manufacturing background, where she worked in many national and multinational companies, including Rolls Royce Aerospace, British Nuclear Fuels and Alexander Dennis (Transbus), Tracey has worked with ISP for four years.

She has previously been the Finance and Administration Manager at Park House English School in Qatar, and also took on the same role at the Hamilton International School when it opened.

Tracey is from Scotland, where she gained her CIMA qualification (Certified Institute of Management Accounts).

Enas graduated from faculty of Arts, English Department and certified HR Manager by KHDA in Dubai and Oxford university in UK.

I have been in the UAE for almost 11 years, started my career in recruitment and HR in 2009 till date.  My previous job was with Taaleem in Dubai as HR, Recruitment and Onboarding Manager. I was handling all recruitment and Onboarding process for all Taaleem Schools. I organized their first recruitment fair London in 2013 and 2020. I have previous experience in recruitment and HR with variant sectors; real estate, banking, cloud services and education and variant regions; GCC, MENA, EMEA, UK and USA.

I have a passion for HR and recruitment. For me it is never only a job it is something I love doing.
