Campus & Facilities

Situated alongside the Green Community in Dubai Investment Park, our students have access to some of the best school facilities in Dubai.

Sports Facilities

NIS believes that physical activity plays a critical role in a student’s development and well-being. In addition to a large multi-purpose gymnasium, NIS students enjoy access to a large floodlit football field with real grass (one of the largest of any school in Dubai), a tennis court, an indoor dance studio, a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, and a separate training pool for early years children.

Dedicated Music and Art & Craft Rooms

NIS believes that the arts allow students to express themselves in a way that enriches their learning by harnessing their creativity, which complements academic achievements. Our well-equipped art, music and dance facilities encourage young artists and musicians of all abilities and across all age groups to get involved and build their self-confidence, imagination and creative skills.

Our specialist music teachers ensure all children have the opportunity to learn the instrument of their choice.

Libraries

The NIS libraries house vast resources for students, staff and parents to develop their knowledge and understanding of different subjects, and provides support to classroom studies.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Google For Education

Committed to a progressive digital learning platform, we are continually investing in new technology to enhance our teaching and learning.

We ensure that students use cutting-edge technology including:

  • A computer laboratory with internet and multi-media facilities.
  • 3D printing equipment.
  • Two 65-inch interactive screens.
  • 120 Chromebooks and 120 iPads for classroom use.
  • Electronic keyboards and Sibellius (score creation software) enables students to compose their own music and record in notation.
  • Blue bots – remote-controlled, programmable characters for KG.

As a Google For Education school, we receive updated support and resources to develop digital readiness programs for our students. This helps to prepare them with the skill set they need to thrive in the future. NIS is one of the few Google For Education schools in Dubai.

NIS’s E-Safety Program ensures students and parents are both safe during online sessions and aware of cyber security best practices.

Science Laboratories

Having recently undergone a renovation, NIS now has two well-resourced science laboratories for middle and senior school students.

Career Counseling

The NIS guidance counsellor works closely with students to guide and prepare them for life beyond the classroom. We also offer a range of aptitude tests to help students discover and choose the career of their interest.

Medical Care

In accordance with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health regulations, NIS has a well-equipped medical clinic with a full-time trained and experienced nurse. Additionally, a school doctor visits the school once a week. All cases of injury or illness receive medical attention and are reported to the parent/guardian.

The School Shop

School uniform, prescribed textbooks, workbooks and stationery are all available at the school store.

The standard school-produced uniform is compulsory for all students from KG1 to Grade 12, including a student PE Kit. All necessary items can be purchased from the School Shop.

School Cafeteria

The NIS cafeteria offers a variety of healthy, nutritious food. Lunches are provided every day and snacks are available at morning break. To further promote healthy eating habits, students are encouraged to refrain from bringing sweets, chocolate, candies, chips, soda pop or any kind of non-nutritious food or sweet drink to school. Fresh and dried fruits, vegetables and nuts are examples of healthy snacks.

Please note that only middle and high school students are permitted to purchase food from the cafeteria.
