About Us

As a member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), NIS is dedicated to igniting the torch of learning in every child. Our curriculum ignites curiosity and leadership on a global stage. By promoting students’ interests, we develop curious, knowledgeable, self-aware citizens who have the integrity and drive to build a better world.

NIS was founded to serve the educational needs of the Green Community and Dubai Investment Park communities in Dubai, although we also see children from areas across Dubai attending our school.

Catering to children from ages 4 to 18 (KG through to Grade 12), we offer an affordable American education with modern approaches to learning, through the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) Common Core Plus program. AERO provides a framework for curriculum consistency across grades KG-12 in alignment with research-based trends and ongoing developments within this curriculum worldwide and in the USA.

We are also one of the few mid-market American curriculum high schools in Dubai offering Advanced Placement courses for high school students, and we have some of the best indoor and outdoor sports facilities of any school in Dubai.

Our aim is to place our students at the heart of all that we do, nurturing their potential to ensure that they learn, lead, and influence. We are committed to three guiding principles:

KHDA Inspection

We are proud to share that we have received a Good Rating in our most recent DSIB, KHDA inspection. This rating is a true testament to the hard work our school team has put into changing Nibras International School.

We are pleased to share some of these highlights from the report:

  • Student Outcomes: The students’ personal development has improved to very good in all phases. They demonstrate very positive relationships with one another and with adults. They have responsible attitudes and a willingness to be independent learners. Students of all ages demonstrate positive behaviors and are often very courteous outside classes. Most notably, students are particularly sensitive toward students of determination, showing care and kindness.  
  • Provision for Learners: Teaching quality has improved in much of the school, with effective strategies well suited to students’ ages and the curriculum, particularly in science and mathematics. Guidance for older students supports their life choices and next steps in learning.  
  • School Leadership: School leaders at all levels demonstrate deep knowledge of the school, its students and its teachers. They take purposeful actions to strengthen teaching and enhance student learning, focusing on developing students’ thinking skills.
