As part of our International Day Celebration, the NIS community once again pledged our commitment to support the Sustainable Goal of Zero Hunger.
For this academic year, the campaign was led by our 2024 Senior Class as their batch’s community service project. With a mission to combat hunger and support people in need, the students organized a rice donation campaign, which is reminiscent of last year’s Zero Hunger project.
As part of the drive, the entire NIS community was able to collect 872 kilograms of rice. A representative from the UAE Food Bank visited the school to collect the rice bags and to meet the students.
“At NIS, we ensure that students are provided with opportunities to do community service projects to highlight our TORCH Values. The UAE Food Bank appreciates our effort, and they hope that it will continue every year,” Ms. Riham Ali, one of our campaign organizers, shared.
We thank our community for their support of this project.
