It’s not every day that presenters from one of the most popular radio channels in the UAE visit our school.
We had the privilege of hosting Radio presenters from Al Arabiya FM. They met our Grade 5 students and it was a memorable and fun morning for all of us.
During their visit, our students participated in various fun games such as musical chairs, paper throwing, and trivia games. Vouchers were given to all participants, while the winners of the paper-throwing game took home digital tablets.
Selected Grade 5 students also performed the TORCH Values song with the help of Mr. Pierre De Villiers. After seeing the great talent at our school, the team from Al Arabiya presented the school with a guitar. Mr. Pierre has shared that he is really happy that the school received this and that he would be able to use the guitar for the music club he is planning to start in Elementary.
All our teachers that were in attendance had a great experience.
“The visit was important to the students as they all got the chance to participate in the games. Their enthusiasm is something I will remember,” Ms. Sarah Altaf shared.
“It was energizing. The students were excited and happy to see the famous radio jockeys. Students even said they felt famous when they saw themselves in Al Arabiya’s Instagram stories,” shared Ms. Vibha Soni.
As for students, here is what they had to say:
“It was great. I loved it so much. Thank you for giving our teacher a guitar!” – Muhammad S.
“It was exciting, fun, and nice. I will remember all the exciting games we played.” – Matthew S.
“I will remember the kind people who visited our school.” – Thomas H.
“Thank you for coming to our school. It was great to see you. You made our class feel excited and happy. Thank you also for the tablet.” – Yasmina
By the end of the program, Dr. Jay handed the presenters Ms. Heba, Mr. Wael, and Mr. Rafat the Thank You Card our students made for them. The card expressed our appreciation to Al Arabiya for visiting Nibras.
