When I used to walk into class every morning, preparing for the day, waiting for you to enter the room with your happy, excited, sometimes sleepy faces, I never knew how much I would miss it.
Believe it or not, I miss you all so much, and feel a part of my life is missing.
There is so much I miss – I miss you getting your stuff ready to start learning; I even miss those that would run in late; I miss your noise at break time, I miss your red, sweaty, cute faces telling stories of your little adventures; I miss your hugs, I miss the letters you drew for me to say thank you or sorry; I miss your smiling faces;, I miss the noise you made at the end of the day when you were excited to be going home; I literally miss everything.
However, I am grateful – I am grateful that I still can teach you. I’m grateful that I can still see you, even if it is through a screen. I’m grateful that we are in a place, where we can still virtually meet and talk to each other.
This situation will end and you will remember it. You will tell your children and grandchildren stories about what happened. I’m not sure when it will end, but what I’m sure of is how strong and empowered you will be after this challenging experience. A BIG HUG and much love to you all.
Miss Eman.
