NIS teaches an American curriculum (the AERO Common Core Plus). It exposes students to both American culture and the rigor of American academia. It also equips students with a future-proof set of skills and a global outlook.
Why Should NIS Choose AERO Common Core Plus Curriculum Over the Common Core Standards?
The AERO Common Core Plus curriculum standards align with the Common Core Standards while providing value-added support to overseas schools as they work to become fully standards-based. Since NIS is an overseas American school with a diverse teacher and student population, it makes sense to choose a curriculum that supports this.
By using the AERO Common Core Plus curriculum, we are also fortunate to belong to a community of 98 schools outside of the US that are implementing AERO-based standards. This gives us the opportunity to share ideas with and learn from others around the world.
